Hi All,
I have a 1981 dodge step side truck I'll soon be installing a big block in, Does anyone know what radiator would be a bolt in for this?? Thanks.
Hi everyone,
I have an 81 stepside that I'm finally getting to after all these years. It is a slant 6 four speed and I'm changing it to a 400 automatic. The problem I'm having is the oil pan. The 400 was out of a car with a front sump, I found a rear sump but that doesn't work either in that...
Awhile back i remember reading about someone who hd a leaking header bolt and someone had mentioned a sealer that would stop it, does anyone know what I'm talking about??
I have a slant six with the lean burn ignition and I'd like to remove all the wiring from the truck, how hard of a process is this? and do i have to change out the distributer?
My 81 dodge stepside had the wrong gas tank in it when I bought it. I found a 20 gallon tank which came with the float assembly. I put it under and wired it up, poured 10 gallons into it and the gauge comes up just past empty, changed the sending unit in tank, same thing. bought an aftermarket...
OK, so my old step side which I drive occasiolaly and never hauls anything would be more than comfortable reusing the aluminum case trans behind the 360 for now? while i look for something heavier for when it might have issues in the future? all i'd have to do is change the bell housing right...
I have an 81 step side, eventually i'm gonna change the slant four speed out to a 360 four speed. My question to you guys who have done this is what four speed should I look for to come up in the same side position that my current od trans come up through the floor at? either an A.B or E four...
Can anyone tell me if there's an 8 3/4 rearend that will fit up under my 81 d-150? I've seen them under other trucks but wondered if maybe an A/B body might fit exactly in there and bolt up to my factory springs as well. Currently it has the factory 6 cylinder unit. Thanks
Yea, see, I think the one in mine is way to long,(probably a 30 gallon), it's almost back to the axel! I've been looking all over this area for one and no luck. If you knew the part number your looking for that would be helpful. the one I have on the bench is 3898216. Don't know the one under...
does he know the part number hes looking for? I got a tank with the truck and it's not the right one for it. That tank he has is exactly what i'm looking for. Your right, the one i need can be out of a 81-87 setpside only.
How would I find out what size gas tank the truck came with? the one in it currently is not the original one. The truck was an old state vehicle from west Virginia and it came with a slant six four speed. this is driving me crazy in that nothing fits under it. It's a stepside as well. Even if I...
Anyone know where I might find one? and what carb would interchange onto this motor. has lean burn on it but would like to tear it all out. Thanks, Dan.
