318 automatic 4x4. 33-12.50x15 tires all around on 15x10 aluminum slotted rims. Mild suspension/body lift, just enough for tire clearance. Bucket seats and console from 89 Ramcharger. Future plans include 408 stroker, built for torque. 3.9-4.10 gears (currently 3.23), upgrade the steering (if possible) power windows, on-board air, (maybe) bumper Winch, additional lighting, satellite radio.

I ordered my truck in November of 1977. Took delivery in April of 1978. It was my work vehicle until 1998 when gas prices were too much for my 10 MPG tastes at which time it had just over 500,000 miles. I parked it in favor of my 22 MPG Dodge Dynasty. I started buying parts for it back in the 80's because I knew it was one of 74 built in 1978 with the 440 engine. I added a gear vendor and a few newer parts during the rebuild such as 93 style mirrors, a CD radio and roll panel replacing my...

I bought my first American classic truck in 2016. I was looking for an old one with a V8 and a patina look. I found this 58 Dodge D100 on Dusty Old Cars website. It is the beginning of the story :) You can see that European trailer are not made for American truck. It can't accept one inch more ! In 2017, I was lazing on Ebay motor instead of working and I saw this 76 D100 for $450. Temptation was too strong, I placed a bid... and I won ! Then I discovered FTO and after I presented my...

At its new home waiting on us to give it the full run around. My son under the hood doing the tuneup and fixing some old wires that need to be replaced. Next all of the fluids drained and replaced, new breaks all around and she will be good to go. Someone pulled the original 350 out of it and put a 267 in it. We purchased a "new" 350 so when it arrives we will build that up and install what should be under the hood. He got the truck so he has something to pull a car trailer around with...

My truck was ordered new by my step-dad Pete on March 17th 1997 from Carter Dodge in Manchester CT and he took delivery of the Ram on July 7th 1997. He originally ordered the Ram as a SLT Laramie with two tone black / red exterior and a tan leather interior. Thankfully shortly after Pete placed the order he changed the color from black / red to black / silver. The Dodge was also ordered with the V10 engine, NV4500 5-speed transmission, 4x4, sliding rear window, premium Infinity sound system...
