I think the truck is pretty much original, but what the hell do I know??? I saw this truck just sitting and rotting in a parking lot near where I live, and I just could not stand it anymore. I am a member of the b-body forum as I have a 1969 4 door Dodge Coronet. The guys over there suggested I come over here. Here is a link to an update thread I started over there including 4 videos:

Update on the rescue of the 1966 Dodge D100 Step Side V8 4 speed pickup

First, is this configuration common? I have not been able to find a place to tell me production numbers for 1966. What size of wheels should this truck have on it? Right now it appears to have 15"x7 with 5x4 bolt pattern running P235x75 R15 tires. I was not a Mopar truck guy till now, so I am sure I will be back for more help. Is there a website that sells restoration parts for these trucks? I got a lot of stuff for my Coronet from Classic Industries.

Mopars are a tough critter to find anything for. Old Dodge trucks are about the worst.
LMC has a limited supply.

Well, that is more information than I had before you replied, thanks!!! I am sure I will be grubbing around on the classifieds on this forum!

Try sweptline.org for a more 61-71 dodge specific support group. Parts are pretty limited out there. There is a company out of PA exlinecustomauto.com that reproduces some sheetmetal, and search online for sweptline, d100,d200,w100,w200 as taglines. You are fortunate on your location because parts trucks are available....and in your area they are rust free. I currently 3 parts trucks that I'm picking and choosing from to get the best set of components.

Unlike a GM truck....do not expect to rebuild this truck from a catalog....but the fun is in the hunt.

Thanks for the info dsd.....yeah, I kind of figured this truck would be a red-headed step-child, but that is what makes then cool, right???

bart k , which direction you headed with your pick up ?
That is a good question that I have to answer by summer, because where I live, it is cruel to leave a vehicle outside due to extreme temps and heavy monsoon rains. Plus my wife is not happy I have another vehicle. My plan to get is streetable and leave it as close to stock as I can. I am taking the radiator in tomorrow to get it cleaned and tested as it is overheating pretty quickly. I already tried changing the thermostat, and that did not do the trick. I have ordered all the parts to do the front brakes/bearings as the drums have bad ridges and the truck pulls badly to the right when you step on the brake. I would like to keep the truck if possible, but I am open to selling it if that is what is best for the truck. I have a few months to figure it out...we will see what happens. I have three other cars and all of those are in storage units, but I cannot afford another storage unit at $130/month.

I have had to put the truck on the back burner for the last couple of weeks, and maybe the next couple of weeks while I have been working with the guys I hired to redo my driveway with pavers. I have been carrying bricks for them to move the project along and save myself some money. I got the radiator back from the shop and they said it was full of gravel. I have been making some videos that I will publish shortly. I have the new drums and old drums and hubs at the same shop that did the radiator. He is pressing out the old hubs and studs and pressing the old hubs and new studs in to the new drums. As soon as I get those back, I will complete a full front brake job to include hoses, hardware, wheel cylinders, bearings and drums. Once I have that done, I will publish a video. If I can get past the overheating and brake issues, then I will test drive and see what I have to fix next!!!

Ok guys, I got a weekend day to myself, so I got some work done on the 66 Utiline. Here is a link to the video:
