It is starting

Rough day yesterday. Back problems are getting the best of me. We see a specialist on Thursday. I am hoping for a positive diagnosis. Being laid up for months was not part of the plan.

Beautiful day today, I sat on the sun and one of Bobs friends drove his 57 by to see if Bob could get it running better, he did.

Yes weather has been great here also. It is supposed to rain unfortunately for the rest of the week. Not sure why this pattern of raining for days got established. Transmission will go back in the truck today. Have a grandson coming to help. Pay back for all the times grandpa worked on his I guess. Would do this myself but someone is telling me no. Got to keep the wife happy and myself out of trouble. Going to the back specialist Thursday and I want this job done. Just tired of sleepless night and the annoying pain. Living life feeling like someone stuck there fist in your back is sure no fun. But life goes no and we all do the best we can.

It was a beautiful weekend, mid to upper 70's. Cleaned up part of the garage, and that's about it. Didn't feel right yesterday, so I took the day off. I wasn't myself, just sat there kind of in a daze. Didn't go out until 8 at night, to get water. It hit 83, though, and was very nice as well. Got some rain last night, wind was blowing pretty good. That made it a little humid today, and we got up into the 70's. Started raining on the way home, guess it's going to be raining off and on until the weekend. That means I'll have to mow. Or buy goats!

Grandson and I got the transmission back under the Ford this afternoon. The rented transmission jack was a fluke and would not stay up. Will tell them about it in the morning. We finally installed it using three ratchet straps and a floor jack. Still have lots of stuff to hook up. The fifth time was charm. Not sure why Ford had to design these to where the torque concert studs have to come threw the flex plate while installing the transmission. I even had everything indexed.

Just more gloom and doom. No progress made on the Ford in two days. I need a building with a dry concrete floor to work on these things in. Partly cloud tomorrow. More gloom and doom rain in the evening. Just maybe and a big maybe I may get a break in the day light hours.

Carpractor visit this morning. Feel much better. Got some more accomplished on the Ford. Another good afternoon and should be ready to see if everything is going to work. Got some manual studying to do tonight. Some where there is an O2 sensor hideing.

Woo hoo! Outta bed before noon! Only 45 now, but time to swap parts off the '68 Monaco 500 so I can sell it. Gonna take my Edelbrock and the aluminum radiator out, putting the rebuilt Holley and the original three row rad back in. Still need it driveable as it's blocking my other cars in storage. Hey, the sun just came out, gonna be a good day.

So far it is cloudy but not raining. Maybe sometime this afternoon I will get back to the Ford. Got to make a parts run first.
