It is starting

I dont like flippers. But I am not ready to cross that bridge yet. To make sure our vehicles go to good homes are background and caricature checks going to be a requirement?

I thing Fall is here, It seems all the people who have bought cars from us were nice folks, but you just never know, the last 6 cars Bob has sold were sold within a month again for a lot more money, one of them the same night for a profit of 2k, Doesn't seem to bother Bob, but does piss me off!

Once their sold thats it. But yes it sure spoils it for anyone wanting one to drive on those special mopar occasions.
Would be interesting to track one of those to see if title was transfed and taxes paid.

There is a big difference there. How many of those would have likely became scrap or donor vehicles if the time and investment had not been made.
Buying with the idea. Its mine now and worth $$ more. All I have to do is buy it, haul it off, resell and nothing else done. How is that helping the hobby?

Bob has always got what he wanted for cars and parts he was selling, he always says if its for sale for months then its over priced. Now we can see how long the Coronet is on CL. Bob seems to think he is well enough to make our trip back to Ky, I guess we will see, he has been working on the 55 panel for the trip

Cindy are sights being planned along the way or will this be a direct trip?

This trip in Oct to Mount Victory Ky will be on if Bob feels good enough to do all the driving, 3 weeks long and will follow routes of I84 to I80 to I29 to I70 to I64 to I75 to state route 192, and sounds like stops at places Bob would like to see and eat at and car places he wants to check out before he checks out he says! Then taking the south route home to visit friends in Texas, Arizona, and Vegas and a few stops in Cali, hopefully the old 55 does well.

Looks like the rte will bring you within a few miles. Tell Bob we are all checking out. Hope his health holds so this trip can be made.

To a lot of us, it's a hobby and a passion. To many though, it's just a money market waiting to be tapped. I don't need to tell you guys how much money can be made on one of these cars in pristine restored condition. Sadly, not too much can be done about that.

In other news, temps cooled down here, rained about a week ago (but we still need more, been so dry we haven't needed to mow the lawn all summer). Watching my brother's place til tomorrow night, and it's a lot closer to the coast than my house. Weather app says partly sunny over there tomorrow.........got waders and fishing rod ready to go

ya looks like our route is just to the north of you, hopefully the weather is nice again, this will be our 6th time making this trip back east, always in Oct and the fall colors are great!

Its not cool today. Will be glad when the 90s are gone. Its been hot all week. Neather of us have felt good.allergies and I think someone caught the flue. For the most part today has been declared down time. The Dakotas brain stranded us 6 times yesterday. Waiting for it to cool down so we an get to were we need to go is getting old in this heat. Traffic has also been terrible, inpatient people.

Tornados last night, 70mph winds came through and ripped out a bunch of trees on the outskirts if town. Touchdown in a town 15 miles away, they had a gas main leak. Then to the east it knocked over an old church steeple that had been restored about ten years ago. Golf course has a ton of broken trees and a ton of uprooted trees. A mess everywhere. The town itself seems.to.have been spared, but in the country it's a different story. No one seems to have gotten hurt, no reports of anything serious anyways.
