Wow what a good summer. Had to step back from this project during the summer, having too much fun to stay home. Started back at it though last week. Dropped block off at machine shop for a hot bath and a cylinder shave. Said they were 6 weeks out, ouch. I should

of brought it in April to MS when I had it ready. Oh well.
So I also started cleaning up engine bay and found new project...

Good way to get wet feet. That's going to be a fun fix.
Ha, fun wasn't the word I first thought of. I have a plan...truck is an old heating and cooling truck and the rust is an air vent so... might just cut out the bad and bend up some sheetmetal into a nice stiff piece of ductwork and weld it in nice and tight. Not going for factory, but a truck that lived around sheetmetal should have a lil on it.
Really I don't see an easier way or price justified for a proper restore job.

Machine shop finished up a lil earlier than planned so I got to pick up block early this week. Didn't really want to jump in on cutting up that cowling yet, instead I shot some paint.
