Ok, thought i would start a thread since I am starting a project. Not meant for much other than showing off and tracking progress. This is my truck I started driving at 14. Engine has been blown for almost 20 years. The truck was my Grandpa's, my Dad's, mine, my brother used it when I was away and I hope to give it life again for me and my girls. Let me know what you think as I move along this endless road of truck resto.

Wow you got lots of project out there. I know how hard it was to make sense of my Dad’s collections/stuff. Hopefully you can sort through them maybe even find new homes or hit the road with one. Either way I hope they bring happiness without becoming overwhelmed

Sweet project and helpers. A nice story unfolding. Truck looks good; so does that Dart? in the garage. What's the story on that??:)

Thanks. Yeah I got good help, since school is out they are getting shop class with Dad. They think its cool to work on their own truck. And the car is just family fun. I built the 360 in it and is pretty peppy. It is a 71 Scamp with tons of changes to become a "real" hot rod.

Noticed some rough spots in bowl and an edge under the valve seals, wacked them off too int the grinder frenzy. Funny how much casting slag is blocking the water jacket holes. Wacked them open too

Got the block cleaned last weekend. Took forever but looks good. Used a couple wire brushes razors and ol toothbrushes. Made excellent use of old two stroke gas that was no good for solvent too. So far 0 $

Did you clean the pump hole up some too?
Not yet, I think I’ll round over the hump about 1/4” from outlet of pump. Cast is a lil thin there but I got enough to round the edge. I didn’t really want to open hole on pump to match gasket just to neck down again after it gets in block. Thinking no flat or sharp edges for oil to be pushed into.

haven't had a chance for any updates but I'm almost done rebuilding the heads and prepping the performer intake I scavenged off a parts 360. Here are a few pics:
