Some people asked for photos of my truck in the new member thread.

Since it'd been a couple weeks and I didn't see a photo thread, why not start one?

So post pictures of your Dodge trucks here. Clean or dirty, rusty or pristine, lowered, lifted, or stock. The only rule is that the photos you post have to be your truck, not someone else's.

    So I'll start...

This an old picture, there have been changes, there will always be changes. This is right after I bought my truck. That was 18 years ago on May 3rd, 2001in Mesa Arizona.

This is the truck about 5 years later. It seemed like 10, but that's because it was my daily.
Here we're off roading in Sedona Arizona.

There were even a few wet places to cross...

The truck and I would move to Oklahoma about a year later. We would stop off roading but still miss Arizona. Perhaps we will make it back there, but meanwhile there was a house to maintain, and a garage and driveway of our own. Over time, more changes would occur.

We would start going to charity car shows to support vets, pets, and kids. We'd go on parades and toss candy and toys to kids. That made me feel good, and the truck won a few trophies too.

Things still change. I like powder coat, polished aluminum, and stainless. Sometimes the truck really fights me to mod it. In truth, I'm just getting old. My buddy Arthur Itis is a daily visitor.

After all, it's just an outlet, something I can do and forget the things in life that make me blue.

I have a new, wider driveway now, free of cracks. The boat you barely see in this photo was sold yesterday. More changes coming.

Again feel free to post photos of your truck(s) below.

My '72 W200 ex-Air Force truck that became a fire district tank truck. Many dings from driving through the brush, but nothing major. In cue for repairs to get it on the road.

My driver '98 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 gas engine worker bee. Pretty clean other than the passenger side lower box behind the wheel. 245,000 miles and about to get some parts thrown at it. Starts towing duty next month.

Anything to get engine heat from between the seats. But that would mean loosing usable bed space if it made any difference. I have thought it would be fun to play with transaxles and rear wheel drive.

I would love to move the engine back...it would mean virtually no driveshaft...just a coupling I guess. I don't need the bed for hauling stuff around...it's a toy truck...only for S&G mainly.

With a transaxle it means no driveshaft. Hemi engine and transaxle from a 300M would almost be ideal. No transverse engine to mess with and heavy enough half shafts to do the job. Plus the benefits of struts and independent suspension. Have not yet worked out getting rid of the rack and pinion.

I read your whole build and the restore and work was amazing. My college buds had A-100 vans, lots of fun with those back in the day.

The only critique...I despise poverty caps. It you wanted it to look like the Real thing, you should've left the aluminum mags on.

Other that that, Bill Golden is somewhere, smiling...

Well....at the near end of the brake conversion my hand was forced....more about why a bit later on...

Taken only a few weeks ago. Due to continuing home renovations I still cannot store my truck at home. Garage is full of building materials. :wtf:

Now that's what I'm talking about!
Disc brake calipers probably needed a bit more clearance
I see that the lettering on the truck has also change. Was there an issue with that as well? Someone is racing the real truck again.

I ended up with mag wheels as the steel rims were showing signs of fracturing around the lug holes...only became apparent with only two studs installed while measuring up the rotors and brackets. The solid mating surface on the mags made a difference. More about that later.

No issues yet with my logo on the side. I had tried reaching out to Maverick when I first did the truck...but no responses. I over-laid the "ELF" word for our local Christmas parade last year - as there was already a Santa and he had a sleigh...it was the obvious choice. :)

Yeah, sadly Bill passed a couple 3 years ago. I read on FB the other day that someone is prepping the LRW for some exhibition runs this summer.

I saw that...same guy is building another Barracuda...he is the only guy to ever have driven both of the famous wheel-standers on a track.

BTW...it was about 10 years ago that I tried to get in touch will Bill Golden via his website. I only wish I had known he was a member at FABO
