I’m no stranger around carbs, just not those feedback POS, which this truck has. Liable to be some mods to the fuel system. At least the fuel pump is on the block and not in the tank. BTW am an old fart - working on my 81st trip around the sun lol!
Agreed! I’d like to get rid of that feedback carb - it’s just a dinky little thing. The truck does have some kind of computer which probably works with the dizzy and carb. Would love to be able to convert the dizzy to EI. Research and probably find the right mix of parts
First step to getting this truck registered here in Virginia - Insurance. I checked with J.C. Taylor and they require it to be stored in a secure and locked garage at my home. No can do - my 65 Dart sedan delivery conversion is in my one and only garage waiting on me to finish it
So on to Hagerty who said no problem. So the Dakota is insured for the next year. Next step is to get to DMV and register it as an antique vehicle. Got to use one of 2 colors for their plates for antique vehicles. We’re getting there
Yeah the process with Hagerty was pretty easy - answer a few questions. I plan to insure my 65 Dart when it’s ready and eventually my 47 Dodge with them
