It is starting

Have not seen Cindy here since the first of June. That was shortly after their casino trip to Washington state.

Nope don't need any rain. I was hoping the mow thing was over for the year. But nooo it rained enough for it to grow two weeks ago. I am waiting for cooler weather in a few days. That I will enjoy more than rain.

The rain we have had over the last two weeks has made the grass grow like it's spring again. This coming week looks like 70's and 80's

It's been pretty nice here the last week, 70's mostly, a few 80's, and some rain mixed in a few days, mostly at night. Not ready for fall just yet, but I'm not minding the cooler conditions.

Same here. Have been able to shut the A/C down. It drops the electrical bill considerably. I can use that money for something else.

Rain is in the talking for the weekend. We will see. Grass is still green, so we are not doing too bad. Have not managed anything is the truck world lately other than braking things. The Dodge needs a hydraulic cylinder rebuild and the Ford needs the brakes to be looked into. The noise has not gotten any better after smoking them in the mountains last winter. I am afraid it may be more than a pad.

Last rained Thursday when I was trying to mow. Got it done Friday night, it was sooooo long I could have bailed it.😂 The rest of the weekend was great weather, a little humid but still nice.

Thunder boomers and lighting this morning with enough rain to get the ground wet and make it humid. Nothing got done on vehicles today.

It rained hard Monday evening and blew some trees down before I left work, the rest of the week was decent. Hot and humid Saturday while I worked on the kids car, mid 60's yesterday and overcast, 70's today and misting rain this morning, overcast now and some breeze.

Just been enjoying some temps in the 70's this weekend. Got so e cleaning of junk done, have a bit more to do. Trying to get the garage in order so I can work on a few things this winter. Car in Illinois is almost back up and roadworthy, I'll get that end of the month. Then I'll have money to spend on the vehicles I can see and touch again, it's weird having a car fixed by someone else, feel like I haven't done anything this year with my money going to a car I can't see. I'll get my mower then too! So I can fix it to be ready next year, at least that's an easy fix.

I saw this rainbow standing on my deck

I took a video of it also

Whew! Got done with a ten day stretch of work, half was my regular shift, the other half was a plant shutdown. Could have worked two more days, but I decy to get new boots at the start of my shift, and my feet were done. So I relaxed yesterday and sat around the house like a bum. But not before I did some much needed weeding in the morning. Plan today is to get more weeding done and start my job cleanup/organizing the garage and storage unit. I told my neighbor he could put his Ford 6N/8N in one of my units for the winter if it doesn't fit in a shed he has. It was beautiful and 80 yesterday, and will be in the low to mid 70's today. Trying to switch to a night schedule, but my body is still on days. I'll be ready when Thursday comes around, as long as the dogs don't bark too much while I'm sleeping.

Hope everyone is doing fine, and enjoying the end of summer.

Do as well as can be expected. Dropped the lift gate on the truck on my head yesterday. Trip to the ER and six stitches later. Cat scan came back ok. No fracture or internal bleeding.
Back today feels like something tried driving me into the ground.
Best we can tell the safety latch tripped allowing the gate to lower. When it gets low enough the gate swings down on it's own. That's when it got me.
Around 100 lbs of swinging metal.
