Question

I have a 1977 D100 Utiline with a 318. I am dead set on an EFI setup. I have figured that I will have to redo the entire fuel system, Wiring and some engine modifications to get to setup up properly.
I am not afraid of the work and understand that it would not be plug and play.

My question is this?
Would it be better to do a EFI swap like Holley sniper or FiTech on a factory carb truck like this OR trade/sell for an 88-93 ram that had it from the factory. I do really like that body style just as much, as well as finding a 92 with a magnum engine and a five speed (which I really like).

I guess the would you rather is considering the time/money/parts availability investment as well. I am not particular to either body style.

Any insight from the more experienced would be nice.

My current thought is for the time, money investment I could just get one that is factory and sell to someone who would want to keep my current truck carbed.

Hey there if you like the truck you have go for aftermarket EFI you can tune it easily as opposed to factory set up which you will need to pay someone to tune it if you want to perk it up and feel anything

I know nutin about it!! Do know a little bit about the mid 90's port injection systems and yeah, gotta get someone that has the tools for it. I have two mid 90's Dakotas and knock on wood, they keep on truckin. Picked up a load of crap gas in one of them that was full of crap and had to replace a couple of injectors. A friend of mine had a injection tester that would pulse the injector. It was like a 1/2 second pulse and man, that thing surprised me with the amount of fuel it put out!
