If you're getting a bunch of on-then-off-then on again lights, unhook your battery cables and leave them off for a few hours. This will clear out some of the "multiple hits" codes and give you the most important first within about 50 miles. If it's major, it'll pop at start up.
A code reader for ABS and airbag is much higher than standard engine reader. Even then, some only give the code with no description. You're still at step one after spending $200.00.
If you're still looking for a "freebee", I suggest placing a wallet size picture over the light and keep plenty of distance from the vehicle in front of you. I don't suggest this option, Mopops.
