So I have a 1989 dodge d150le 318 tbi truck the factory temp sensor has to be plugged in when cold or truck won't idle but when it gets to temp truck surges In power if i unplug it when hot truck runs fine any one had this problem or have any insight is appreciated.

Thx for all the help loving the adjustments I did struggled with them at first then figured out I was missing the spring that hold the kick down rod forward now adjusting it is working got the 1 /2 shift perfect but the 2/3 3/4 shift has a dead zone and takes a few seconds to down shift

It is controlled by cable not computer

So what here do I ajust

I did finely figure the vacuum system out by getting a diagram and re doing it all most of it was wrong when I started truck runs great now

The 89 u set the initial timing with a timing light the factory is 10 degrees I have mine at 12 but the computer dose take over timing for most part
