Not sure. When I checked it couldn't even see the mark in relation to the pointer. Had to have been off by quite a bit. Didn't sound bad though. Any idea what it should be at? Seems a little down on power. Just trial and error right now.
Just set timing today ,10 degrees advanced we'll see how it reacts. Motor is an 86 350 out of a camaro so troubleshooting can be problematic at times. Only does it when it's hot and after it sits for a few minutes. If turn it over right after shutting off its ok. Don't shut it off.:wacko:
Hey guys any thoughts on this one.Got truck running well but after its warm when I shut it off and let it sit for 10 minutes or longer, really labors when turning over or wont turn over just stops. Too much timing or bad solenoid?
Let me try another route, anyone got any suggestions what I could try to stop this thing from flooding itself. New plugs are now fouled ,messing with the timing didn't really help. Truck has always bin bad on fuel, it just needs to be set up properly. I don't know where to begin with the tbi...

Bought this 82 a few years back. Guy swapped original motor for newer tbi unit. Things a complete dog. Want to put aluminium intake and holley carb on it, and get rid of the throttle body. Anyone done this?Howd it work out? 350 cu in.
