Well I finally got it down to 1/2 tank. Funny, it took 15.7 gallons. Tells me the gage is ok. Mileage back down to 11.7. Double checked all the #'s, and I guess the mileage gods smiled on me for a short time.

My 2004 Silverado 3500 4X4 with 24K miles got a power steering leak. must be a pressure line, emptied in 3 miles. Oil is above the plastic brush guard. Was there a problem with these trucks? Thanks for any info

Just replaced the consul lid on my 2004 3500 Silverado. $44 on Amazon, and an easy job. No need to remove consul. New springs not as strong as OEM, I re used orginals. 24K miles and the plastic hinge self destructed.

I have a 04, 3500 4X4, with steel 16" wheels, 8 lug. The hubcaps have 8 plastic threaded lug nuts, that attach it to the wheel. I had to replace one of them, and it cost $5.00. Let's see, that's 32 plastic nuts @ $5 each= $160 for hubcap nuts. I hope I never have to replace a hubcap.
