Hi everybody, I know that it's not a truck but parts can be the same. For the first time I am looking for an US car that is not a truck. It's a lovely unmolested 1938 Chrysler Royal C18. It was imported from Oregon to France few years ago. The buyer was very happy with it and drove many miles...
Plastic panels are not so hard to repair. But the first thing to do is to remove the cause of the heating. The heat comes from the poor connection between the gauge and the screw. Tin soldering can solve the problem. Silver grease on lugs and nuts can help too when wiring back
If you plan to fill your tank, it is the best opportunity to read the signal from the sender unit, before and after the tank is full. You will know if you need a 73-10 gauge or a 0-90 gauge
If you read 64 ohms for 3/4 of a tank, this gauge can't fit your véhicule. You need a 0-90 ohms gauge (0 empty; 90 full)
Your gauge ref is 7361, you should buy the 7362
Equus 7362

Some of them are sold. The '72 D100 with lettering and the green '78 D150 are now in Brittany. There is a club "the American Breizh Cars" which members appreciate the Philoctet's touch ;o) The '76 D100 Utiline and the '76 D200 Club cab will probably follow the same way
