Dads ol dodge

Progress has temporarily stalled while I finish up a bathroom for the daughter and take care of the outdoor work... spring is here:lowdown:. Biggest headache on the truck right now is prepping the front fenders, had them blasted and they need very little work but the previous owner coated the insides with comsolene which is much like tacky grease!! The blaster is very slow to remove it which will warp the metal so it all scraping then scrubbing with lacquer thinner. Good news is that's it, once they're in primer everything is done.

Finally, paint should be flying this weekend!! I ended up making new gutters, installing them and giving everything another good going over.
Dad threw me a curve ball and requested A/C, my heart sank thinking about having to mod the firewall when it was ready for paint until I sourced an A/C box and found it to be a direct bolt in. For the dash I'll gut my donor dash and transfer the A/C duct work and vents as to not get into the whole VIN ordeal. As far as wiring, looks like it's mostly all vacuum operated so hoping little will be needed?

Going with Hydro blue base coat clear coat with some flat black to set it off.

You will appreciate the A/C once it's in. Nice progress so far and it is great news to see you nearly ready for paint.

use duracool a12 in your a/c . heavier and colder than 134 . used it in several units without any issues . this duster pulls 50 deg air out at idle .oh ya thats a 10 year old single stage paint job without a sand n buff .

no lic needed , its sold as a tiki torch fuel in texas . it burns like a bic liter . we ordered it and it came in the mail .
I need to seal the system and pump it down. If all goes well a new dryer should be all that's needed. Old R12 system. I already have the 134 fitting to install in the San system.

Well... I'd share some updates but every picture I try to attach is "to large" yet I've posted them on FBBO with no problems? Anyways the hood, cab and all of the hinges are painted, fenders and door tomorrow I hope then the bed. With 2 weeks I expect it to start going back together.

I am not sure how to get around the picture thing. I dont post many for the same reason. Some attach and some don't.

So I finally did a little digging around and found an app for downsizing photos.. Now to bring this thread up to date.

Quite a bit of work to finish up the cab, decided to put gutters back on it.. just don't trust the door seals. The originals gutters were completely rotted out so it needed done regardless.
