Stop on in for a cup of coffee!

I had a quad espresso this morning while getting the exhaust fixed on the Monaco 500.

Realized I had over half of it just sitting around talking to the owner of the shop. Good thing it was getting cold, I started feeling a little jumpy! Went and got some gas, and took the car for a drive, it was great to have an old car back on the road.
New exhaust or just some repairs on the old system?

Just repair the poorly done weld on the pipe flange. It's a crude older job, it's nice sounding, probably because they seem to be 2" pipes. I might spring for a tti system, I love them, their 2.5" kit practically falls into place.

Doing my morning rounds of the sites with a cup of (wait for it) tea. :p

2 cups this morning and then I did some much needed cleaning on my Colorado and the wife's Vue. A little too much sun and now I truly am a redneck:D

2 cups to start the day, mowed the grass at the church. With the wind it was pretty bitter cold for a spring day. Installed 2 outlets, wired them and put in breakers at the box for my freezer and extra fridge in the basement.

I usually have at least a couple cups to start my day. Sometimes I get underway right away and sometimes not until after lunch. LOL I do spend a lot of time here on Joey's sites. Hey, I baked cookies this afternoon. Always something to do.

2 cups this morning and then I got this finished up at work.

It was a 350, but over the winter he had a 454 built. I swapped the engine out, added a stall converter, headers, changed out the p/s pump and brackets, alternator brackets, modified some wiring for the big block, added a MSD distributor and a 6AL box with soft touch rev control. It sounds really good, the machine shop that built it figures it's about 525 hp

Day 2 of water-blasting and house washing my parents house....with my brother assisting. had my elder son helping out yesterday also......got pretty wet & cold by the time dark o'clock rolled around today. So I made myself a nice hot cup of Moccona to settle down after a hot shower. One day left before city-wide water restrictions kick in, and no more hoses or water blasting until the dams refill to a decent level. House is looking almost ready for paint & stain ....starting on the weekend. :)

The broken timber below is what I was standing on about 10 minutes after we started work the first day.....rotten as a pear. My son couldn't stop laughing as I performed the most awkward somersault and mud-grab on the lawn below. Could have broken my leg...ended up with a lump on one knee instead....no blood...lucky escape I call it.

Decking above was absolutely black with dirt and lichen (algal growth) ...came up pretty good considering...

I don't care too much for the deck and railings colour...but Mum likes it, so it stays. That'll get a re-coat in a few weeks....if we get decent weather. I'll spray some moss & mould killer on it - the stuff I get keeps working for up to 6 months. Rain just keeping activating the product, and I can paint over it. The deck might get an oiling....very light colouring if any.

The cedar siding has come up pretty good too. My brother had a go a few years ago, and ended up making a mess down at the back of the house. Lost concentration and I tried to disguise the swirly marks from the blaster. Doesn't look too bad now. Being a soft wood, it doesn't take much to ruin the texture. I have a technique and the overall appearance is nice now. :)

looks great @kiwigtx

making me feel lazy/guilty
I have to do much of the same here
it's still raining occasionally here, no big deal for pressure washing
but for prep & for paint, not so good

so I'm procrastinating for a while still :bananadance:

glad you stuck the somersault & landed well too :carrot:
you're ready for the "now" 2021 Tokyo Olympics :poke:

2 cups this morning, mowed the church, put a alternator on the kids car, then mowed my yard. My bosses son is selling this John Deere F725, nice mower, but I am not sure.

This is my current mower, only a 42" deck, the bigger Deere has a 54" deck.

My backup mower has a 46" deck

I have been kicking around the idea of getting a zero turn, that's why my boss brought over the F725. To let me try it out and see if I am interested in it. Not quite a zero turn, but it will turn sharp. Still don't know.

I have been thinking about getting a ride-on mower just so I can have a small tractor. :D

Started my day with a nice coffee - Moccona....and Banana pancakes with blueberries & maple syrup. then back to my parents place to continue staining the cedar siding.

I had an F725 and liked it. Unfortunately a couple years ago when I pulled it out of winter storage while it was idling to warm up so I could change oil and such - the engine let go with a bang. And those Kawasaki engines and parts aren't cheap. But I got good credit for it trading it in.......

Just sitting here typing & drinking my second cup, of a 2-cup container
browsing the forums

not much going on here

freaken' raining "yet" again

I'm so over the rain & snow this year

even if we do need it

Times been flying, and I've been getting ready to fly the coupe! I had a cup full of four double espressos, thanks to the gas stations $1.00 Fufu on Mondays, and I was bouncing off the walls! That was enough for the whole week. I got yard work done, and cleaned up the branches and lawn trimmings, I love it when I stack the braches, grab a few lower ones in the pile and they all slide out and I'm done in less than a minute.

The rain we had earlier in the week made the grass grow like mad. I mowed Thursday night and had to mow again today. Clippings everywhere, if this keeps up I may have to look into getting a sweeper.

I'm too cheap to buy anything for the mower, I just run a few laps after I'm done and blow it into a row. But I only have .28 acres.
