well after the steel scrap prices were near 500 bucks a ton back in 2008 . most of this nicer older stuff got scrapped . for farm equipment to cars that won't start . they all went to the mill . its getting hard to find anything hanging out these days , so its the bad with the good . and every once and awhile a nice one shows up .

@paul massaro Paul when you posted about the Rambler you said you may build it for your wife? With you large stash of cars/trucks and parts I was assuming you weren't married, she must be a good one. My wife will be understanding about a small stash of cars/trucks and parts, but she would loose her mind if I had a stash like yours:)

I would imagine if out off sight it is out of mind. I have to deal with the wives dozen or more sewing machines and sewing materials all over the house. This lock down and not being able to work will delay her new sewing room awhile longer. Thankfully I have a SS check coming in or we would be in big trouble.

I have some stuff that should go but the local like 3 miles away yard shut down this winter. Now the closest that will take anything automotive is 15 miles away. It may take care of the fuel cost to get it there. Am hope the price of new steel has come down also. Need to buy some more rebar for the house.

not going down out here , but scrap is now down to 50 bucks a ton , and soon to dip lower . do to the lack of want by other countries . its been 40 before . i see it going here again . just means good deals on junk cars , lol . and yes my wife is very understanding , at least this one is , lol !
