It is starting

Lots of rain here yesterday. They say the roads are ice covered. Electricity was out for a few hours early this morning. Temp is 18 and breezy but the snow has stopped. Looks like maybe 2 or 3 inches. Its supposed to be in the 40's tomorrow.

Well this past week has been a long one, and in no way a good one. Last monday, my Grandpa passed away. Really hit the whole family hard. We've been trying to get through it by staying busy, keeping our minds off it while we get all assets and affairs taken care of.

So sorry to hear this K-Note72, prayers for you and your family, you be safe and careful, looks like a arctic front moving in

Thanks, yeah we got firewood stacked and got to sandbagging parts of the foundation for the time being to keep this downpour from flooding the lower parts of the house. Snow might come in a day or two, but for now it's just a torrent of rain

And you had been so dry. Guess the burn ban is off for now. Looks like we will be getting it again this weekend. Right now we are dealing with heavy fog that doesn't look like to will burn off today. Hope thinks go better for you in the NW.

Cold, freezing cold. It was -10 when I got off work this morning, -1 at 1:00pm, and it's going to warm up to 22 tomorrow. It's gonna be t shirt weather!

High was in the 20's today and breezy. If the sun had been out it would have been better. Its supposed to warm up tomorrow with snow, sleet and rain. So another crappy day. It is the humidity here that makes it feel so cold.

Oh yeah, the weather liars have downgraded the snow we are allegedly getting, from 5-9 to 4-6 inches. I'm calling 1-3".

I will know how much snow when it gets here. The five inches of rain last week made a mess of things. The yard is just one big sponge.

Now I know why some folks call it Missery. Is there a permanent "squish squish" wherever you walk? You've had enough moisture in a year, probably equivalent to a decade or more in California.

In the last two years we have had about 50 extra inches. We have spent more time in the mud than on dry ground. But I have been told the extra moisture has been spotty. Its gets real tiring listening to some talk about how dry it is when some one drenches us two or three days a week. Hopefully this year someone else gets it.

Well, the weather idiots proved me wrong. We got at least the 4" they said, and maybe more. I got the driveway, at least the part we walk around on, shoveled off. I got the sidewalk, and the front deck cleared. At least it's close to 30° and I missed the wind, 45 mph.

They're saying 9.5" on the ground here, wind's at 29 gusting to 39. Just waiting until it lets up to start moving the crap.

Got no snow here. Did get a brief shower last night. The temp in the 40's is now in the 20's with NW winds at 20 mph. Doesn't sound like its going to get better anytime soon.

We got some snow over night, it's windy and has been raining/sleeting since about 2pm. I am waiting to push some snow until early tomorrow morning,
