I thought I would stop and introduce myself as I hadn't done it yet.
After 45 years of paint and metal work I retired in 2016 only to work on my projects and raise my grandson. In the early years I worked for Jon kosmoski at House of Kolor in Minneapolis Minnesota then I bought a shop in Iowa doing collition work and finally the last fifteen years freelancing building project vehicles.
All this time building my own Ford and Mopar projects.
I currently have a 440 that I put together for my Plymouth in 1987 or 88 that I would like to find a short box Dodge home for it, it's a mild build with a 9.5 cr mechanical cam that made 520 hp and 545 tq. It would make a fun driver.
I have a thing for making old school horse power the old way of working for it not just ordering parts.
I have a couple of buddies who have a couple of dynos and run my junk and I get in on plenty of others.

Here's one of the last pos I built, that's 1800 hours of my time to get it in color and assembled to the point of glass installation.

Raised by a bodyman, just didn't learn enough from him....... and I agree with Paul, that's a sweet one. And welcome. Got a nasty rough shortbed Dodge you can have, but it would take a pro like you a long time to resurrect I think.

pop said ' pick your battles ' so replacing over repairing wins . going to peel orangey down , and out fit this new 61 into a short bed , its cherry . as a side by side . alot fewer miles on the whole machine , those doors open n close like new .

I have dabbled in bodywork, my dad learned in votech school and did some while I was growing up so I learned some things from him. Both of my trucks need some love, so more may be in my future.

Welcome aboard "Rusty"! You sure don't build junk to my eye! Good luck with your quest!

I've seen your build thread for your Dodge, I'm from Mason City Ia home of the former Imperial customs the shop the original Little Red Wagon came out of. Over the years I've known Delmer Clawson one of the owners of Imperial customs and as of a couple a years ago he was still building cars. The original little red wagon crashed in the first year after completion. I think the next one was done in California.

Thanks....I always enjoy reading about the original Little Red Wagons. It was way ahead of it's time, and severely under-rated as an icon of the day.

Dodge A100's ...people either love them or loathe them....me.....I love them.

Hello from Minnesota. You're only an hour and a half southeast of me. You guys are hiding some rust free treasures down there!

Is there a small plane at the airport near the road? A display pease.
There is. I took some pictures of my car in front of a hanger last summer.

The airport happens to be my turnaround point, for my romp up to the century mark, to clear the cylinders.

I was thinking there was a small quarter scale plane on a sign or on a fence. It was still good size and looked like it could fly, I don't know its been 8 or 9 years since I was by there.

I have a friend who is into RC airplanes and was telling him about it. Someone put some time into it.
Thanks for taking the time to put it up.
