Before it goes on the traile get a big ass piece of plastic to drive it on then cover it and tape it. You can get a roll that is huge at HD.
Could always shrink wrap it like they do boats for shipment. Have no idea were you could get the done tho
Got dry roads most of the way, other than a stretch in Illinois, salt falling out of the plow trucks on the way down, fresh snow on the way back. Late night-no traffic helped but got some slime on it. So I stopped at a truck stop and had the boys in the truck wash blast it top and bottom.

Three guys with pressure washers made short work of it. Then I drug it home the 45 miles I had to go, worked out perfectly. At home in the new storage spot.

Plenty of room left for the riding mower!

Did that fit under U-hauls 5200 lb. limit or they just did not know?
I towed a '68 Dart four door according to the paperwork.

Is the 5200 lb limit gross weight, or only the vehicle being towed? I like, plain and simple. They say the trailer is 2000 lbs and the max weight of trailered car is 4000 lbs. Close enough for me.

If it works and no trailer damage who will ever know. I have not used a U-haul trailer in years. Back when one of the boys worked there when we needed one him would just bring it home and take it back when done.

I'll use them again if I need to,very convenient. I do wish the uhaul in my town had pickups, I had to go 50 miles out of my way to pick up the rig. But they learn the trucks and they are for that location only, or so they tell me.

If I were to buy one that size it would be more than a car hauler and would be a flat bed at least 20 ft. I don't like loading over wheel wells or pulling between them. Would also need something that a truck could be loaded on and at 9000 lbs. it will not be a U-haul.

Blizzard conditions yesterday. Roads were closed. Schools closed today and tomorrow. Just darn cold and miserable. I did make it out today, nothing but the main hiway has been cleaned. Will try again tomorrow. Got all but 24 feet of wall up on the east side of the house Thursday and Saturday were nice sweat shirt only days upper 50s and low 60s. Today was cold with high in the 20s. Hope all east of here are ok. The storm was moving that direction.

Got the snow they were talking about, maybe 4-5" so far. More tomorrow so I get to wake up.and shovel, yay.

The fog, lightning, thunder and rain depleted what was left of the snow Friday night. A few small sowers Saturday morning. Today its rained and tried to snow. Is windy and down right cold again. The temperature for next week is supposed to hover right at freezing. I can live with that if the wind quits blowing and the sun shines. This has been a strange year for weather.
