Man this forum section is really slow, where is everyone ?????

-I'm also on FABO as well as FBBO..... Been over here a bit more recently but I got a lot more posts on FABO then here (I been a member there longer!)

Good to see a little action here

came over to check in etc.,
I don't post here very often
every so often I get the reminder from Joey

I'm on FBBO mostly, it's busy as hell, like normal
there's been a few pissy bitchy & moaning (L) members there of late
that want everything to be censored, are easily offended & butt-hurt
argumentative little pricks...
IMO it's good to take a break, see some other names, personalities
there's also a lot of the same "good people" on here,
not as many of the Negative Nancy types,
so I'll come here every so often too...

Happy MoParing people

i try to get here once a day , as well as the other a b c bodies only forms . been dealing with the insurance co on the wreck that i was involved in . i'm total in the right yet the co is taking a hard stand on totaling my pick up . we just don't see its value the same at all . i said fix it or pay me to fix it . and there sheet isn't even real . so i got one written up . now it seems i have to get the other driver to come through with the cost of repairs . what a bunch of bul.s...it . its so easy to get the real value off sells on the net . yet the insurance co can't see that as real values . just because there figgers don't include the real world pricing . here my wreck pics . i'll fix it , just what to get paid for what it takes to do so . the co is saying not worth fixing , the p/u is only worth @4000 dollars . when i find sales ads for them from 7500-24000 .

Standard policies cover zelich on our old vehicles. My agent has advised a replacement value policy.

when my truck got hit, I took it for a couple estimates. First shop acted like it was a PIA to do it, but they did. Second shop did everything but tell me he didn't want to be bothered with it. And I would have to fight for my money, and they would probably total the truck for the cost of the bumper. I said they would total something for a $200 bumper?
Well I didn't have to fight
The other driver's Insurance paid it all
And the truck wasn't totaled.

Been working away semi-secretly on my 1968 Dodge A100....bit of an upgrade all round. Engine and transmission came out about 8 weeks ago for a 'freshen up'....lol. I will be posting a copious amount of pictures and words starting next week. The mission was to get to our local annual Father's Day Drag meeting here. The event was rain-delayed for 2 weeks, so luckily I got a small reprieve...enough time to get the last few ducks in a line.

Sadly due to a port strike at Long Beach (California) I will not have my recently acquired Vintage Traction bars to complete the look and hopefully improve the 1/4 mile handling. Never mind, I might have to race again some time soon. :wideyed:

I'd fight to have it fixed
or the cash equivalent so you can do it yourself
that's what the collision insurance part
of your INS Policy is for

good luck

oh i'll fix it up , just grinds my hide that ins co's try to bend you over went it was not even my fault . so on with the battle . or i could just sue that little 90 year old lady that hit me . i'm sure she'd be pleased with that .

Thats when you find out just how worthless your insurance company is.
ALLSTATE IS WORTHLESS. They wanted us to settle with them for 4 grand less than the guilty party settled for and then hauled a car off that was not theirs.
They are no longer our insurance provider.

I'm going to get my buddy Cliff signed up here - he's not really a hands on computer guy, but he does dabble occasionally. ;)
Cliff has a 1978 Dodge Ram D150 pickup...a very clean and rust free truck imported in the same container as mine (quite by chance) back in 2009. Running a 318 and auto, Cliff thought about a power upgrade and freshen up a few years back. Sadly he took a machinists advice and sent the engine off to a shop. they screwed him over dollar-wise, but also he found out later that they knew nothing about MoPars....they were Chev specialists.

Without wanting to degenerate anyone here, this idiot machinist punched out the block, decked it, shaved the heads and re-ground the crank all without first checking any info or measuring and such.

Consequently, Cliff ends up with a 318+ that has just enough power to pull the skin off a rice pudding. :(

So, while I have had him helping me recently with my project, I had already decided that I would gift Cliff my engine - a 360 with unknown measurements, but a great runner. It starts and stops and runs like it should....burns the tires etc...all the good features you need. Hopefully in the coming weeks, we will do another transplant into Cliff's Ram, and then he too can burn rubber.

And as an update - Cliff checked the Ram after it had not run for several months, and heard a tickety tick in the engine. Further investigation, and he found some of the rocker gear had worked loose. He set to and torqued everything up again....went for a blast, and was surprisingly very pleased. Says he's gonna drive the wheels off it for a while then do the swap.....doesn't even care if a rod is hanging out the block - or as we say down-under - have a leg out of bed. :D

Cliff is running my Pit Crew this coming weekend, so look out for pics and video starting next week.
