70 degrees today, Bob is going to paint the roof of the 65 suburban this afternoonView attachment 12720
He can paint my Polara 500, they brushed primer over the paint. Reminds me of when my buddy got into an accident, next day, different color car! Wait, mine has a replacement hood and fender...

And I'm back in Minnesota, 30 degrees and all. :meh: But it's supposed to get warmer soon, and I hope rain, so I can get to work on all my projects. Even got asked to work overtime before we got home! More money for the car/truck fund! I'm still ahead of the game money wise, and plan to keep it that way. One perk of my job is that my vacation hours count towards my 40, so I will only work 36 hours, but because of vacation, get paid for 60, 20 of that overtime. I'm digging that! Sure would be better if I got paid more, but "money isn't real Georgie". Still have 2 & 1/2 months before I need to get the 500 on the road, but hope to have it out on it's own before then, we will have to see. Then I can work on the brakes in the 72 W200, and maybe drive that around, and learn how terrible the turning radius is! Aw crap, the Dart too! And rebuild the front axle in the 98 2500? And swap transmissions and do rear brakes, you can see where that's heading. And still do all the things I planned for my Polara that's already on the road? Yeah, I'm going to be one busy fellow this year. Too bad Bob isn't closer. If I get all the beer he wants to drink, think he'd head east for a summer?:fool:(Joey added new emojis!)

Yesterday I had weather like Cindy, mid 60s and sunny. I figured I'd try and get Grandpas tractor (a 50s/60s International Harvester) going so I can push back some blackberries, but after finally getting it going the hydraulics for the plow crap out. If we don't start raining again soon, I'll try and track that down, see if there's a line leak somewhere.

looks like Tuesday will be good day for paintView attachment 12732
We're not due to get the same sun break, but I'm still gonna try and get stuff done. Get some more firewood stacked, get some veggie starts goin, drop Grandpa's chainsaw off at a friend's so he can see about fixin it, try to find out why the hydraulics on the tractor crapped out, and clean up the garage to try to get closer to getting the Demon project started

We actually had some sunshine and decent temps today, so I figured I'd try and trim some of that pesky scotch broom (if it's around 2" base stem diameter or larger it's less likely to drop seeds and sprout back). Problem: the clutch on our MAIN chainsaw seized, so now we have no working chainsaw. One needs a carb rebuilt, the other needs the clutch unstuck. Can't cut it otherwise, our loppers aren't big enough for a lot of this stuff
