Who knows what about manual nv 4500 transmission

On the driveshaft I have the yoke, they cut the original driveshaft. I know that I'm gonna have to go see the driveshaft shop

Doing to keep the drive shaft two in piece. Just in case I also don't want to destroy anything original.

I bought the tool, I have had a 12 ton press of my own to use it with for years.
My dealer transmission buddy just had a big drill press that didn't run in his shed, that he used as a press for that spring but with his setup it was a 2 person deal.

Going to see what the shop wants. If to much the tool kits still available. I am still not sure why an alignment shaft would be needed. That shaft needs to go back in so why not use it?

Too long to use in most presses. But if you don't use something to line up the splines as it goes back together you'll never get that OD back on.
I bought a used original output shaft and cut it down.

Going to have to study this more. I think my press can be adjusted enough to do this. Still haven't contacted the transmission shop. I prefer to do this inhouse. But sometimes things just aren't cost affective.
