i have heard that a few have converted their dakota rear end to the viper irs. but i haven't found anything on this. has anybody seen or done this?
was somebody just talking out of their **s?

The viper uses a AL D-44, mounting the center section isn't a problem, the axles on the (some) viper being AL half shafts can be shortened along with some of the suspension pieces, otherwise it can be done...
Question is why. . . .you can get a live axle to handle very well. . If it's weight reasons then ok
