V6 into a Rampage

My friend with the 84 Rampage was wondering if anyone has swapped a V6 with an auto or 5 speed from something like a 91 or so Daytona IROC into a Rampage or Scamp

Were that's a 2.2 front wheel drive truck , sorry I can't be much help on what would bolt up to it and what you would have to do . I did do a 360 / rear wheel drive conversion in one of those "years" ago and all I can say about that is LOTS of work . lol

Don't forget that some Caravans had the 2.5 turbo. You'd want to get the entire vehicle so that you could get the associated computer and other electrical stuff needed. My neighbor's daughter wrecked his and I tried to buy it so we could do an upgrade in the boy's '84 Laser, but he wouldn't sell.

Rampage = "L" body

Daytona = "G" body

Daytona is wider and longer in the engine compartment

Would need custom axles.

Anything can be done

I've seen V-8 set-ups by making steering rack, a front steer

We cheated on ours, by just setting the body over on to a Art morrison tube chassis
440, 727, 4.56
