If it were mine, I'd swap out that gas hungry big block for a Slant 6, to do my part for saving the environment!

Scott I've been to 2 pulls since '13 and have done 2nd place both times........ Thing is, I bet I could have gotten further off the line if I had "tried" I didn't even jerk the thing into 3rd gear in the low side of the transmission, IF I had shifted and gave the ole girl some fuel, and NOT spun tire doing so, I bet I coulda done a full pull both times! -Was only about 10 feet shy before it began to spin & bounce (Freakin' sled gets heavy when the carrier is up high & close to the trucks bed! LOL) AND remember, I'm NOT built to "pull"..... I'ma stocker man!

I missed that truck pull this year, so........ Totally spaced the whole thing too! (Other things occupying my mind to even think of it never mind plan it!)

I'll have to look as I been going "street" legal truck "pulls" but I THINK I'm heavy enough to move up one class and remain street legal.... (I just don't have the bumper weights, or even need them!) As if I start "trying"....... I don't think 1st place & full pull is gonna be all that difficult (my first time out and 2nd place kicked ass!!!) I've never done pulls before I had this truck so..... First time for everything, and first time is a teaching lesson, second time is to perfect skills and third time freakin LET 'ER RIP!

Gotta be the coolest Land Rover Discovery I've ever seen. Good job!

Thanks. I must apologize for something I JUST found out. This site is for American Brand trucks! We were invited by the Lincoln vs Cadillac site (which I have left for good) to review this site and I never saw anything stating it was for a specific type of truck. Anyway, I'll bail and apologize for barging in on you all. Thanks for not being rude about it, I wouldn't have blamed you...

Did you get some sort of notification saying you had to leave? We talk about cars trucks and tanks etc on here. Dude, you're cool. I don't care what it is you drive. That's as much a truck as what we have. You're more than welcome to stay.

I saw this..."We are a community of American Brand Pickup Truck and SUV owners" so I believed it. Anyway, if you don't see it as barging in, and it was not intended that way, I will take your above statement as an invitation then. Thanks!

And....what the hell...from the silver truck, I put all terrain Dunlops and a roof rack on my cheapie project truck. Very reasonably priced roof rack and the wheels/tires are hand me downs from my silver truck. :)

Gotta love thriftiness! I have handed down engines and transmissions before I even used them in the intended vehicles!

You never barged in, you sauntered in!
