replacing dimmer and wiper control arm

I have an 01 cummins pickup and the dimmer switch has become undependable. it goes from dim to bright just fine but is very hard to get it to dim you have to click it repeatedly to get it finally work and then you might go dim and right back to bright which people really appreciate. so i was woundering how hard of a replcement this is. i'm thinking this is a complete component the whole switcharm or is something i can just do the dimmer portion of? Any insight on this would be appreciated. Also are the switcharms the same for all full size pickups?

Your going to have to tear into your column . Replace the whole thing and personal with something like this , I'd just go to the parts store and get a new unit .
