Hey everyone,

almost got the Ram Charger running right, the guy had siliconed a spacer plate to the manifold and plugged up the vaccum passage for the advance.

The kick down is still having issues though, does anyone have a image of the correct set up on a non stock 84 360 Ram Charger or truck with a carb on it with a Edelbrock manifold?

What kind of issues? My guess is you don't have is you don't have it adjusted right. Based on the pic you have posted there it looks like you have to much slack in it. If you out of adjustabiliy up on this side you can go down to the trans side to adjust it as well.

You don't have the throttle arm adapter is probably your biggest problem. You are using the Ford kickdown lever I use this from Bouchillion & it takes ALL the guesswork out & all the parts are factory Chrysler except for the piece that bolts on the arm of the carb The Bracket that holds the cable & the bracket that it's bolted to are the only non Mopar parts

Personaly , I've never liked the angle of the throttle cable and kick down , if you just bolt up the factory throttle bracket to an aftermarket intake and carb . This is one of the way's that I correct it . I fabed this up for my 79 . Everything run's nice and straight and work's like a charm ( plus it look's allmost factory lol ) . But as "DodgeAddict" said , you could allso go with a set up from Bouchillion or even lokar makes a cable set up .

I'd build the rod before I'd use another Lokar.
I researched the Bouchillion kit before I spent that $$. The throttle adapter is designed off the TBI Throttle bellcrank & adjusts just like 91 & up Truck/van & uses the same cable.
I can use my cruise

Years ago my transmission guy prescribed me a Lokar & when Bouchillion came along I bought it. The lokar works as long as the flimsy bracket doesn't give that holds the cable
After changing to the cable my transmissions die of old age
