Anyone know of a good scanned for OBD 2 and anti lock brakes. Something just went TU with my rear anti locks.

A scanner unit is around 285.00$ for the ones auto parts stores have snapon probly has them for twice that. What went wrong, only thing in the rear is the sensor in the differental on top of the center section or the main box where all the lines go in and out in the engine bay. Did you get an ABS light and brake lite it's usally the sensor in the rearend or it could be the main abs box [the one with all the lines] in the engine bay that one sometimes goes bad the rear sensor is notorius in dodges for going bad they are cheap.

Yeah, the ABS and Brake Warning light are on the brakes lock and don't unlock when braked hard and the speedo doesn't read mph till I hit about 30. Are the speed sensor's a dealer only item?

Speed sensors? the anti lock sensors/components are available at any auto parts supply or rock auto. Find an auto repair place that will plug in their scanner and tell you what the codes read they will charge you so call around or maybe you got a friend that knows someone in the auto field don't go changing parts without a scan first some abs parts are expensive.

The abs and speedo are linked so if your speedo is on the fritz the sensor is the first and cheapest fix, you dont need a scanner to get codes with an obd2 system, put the key in the switch, turn it on, off, on ,off, on and the codes will show on the odometer.
