I'm a member of FABO and FBBO and now here. My 14 year old just bought his first truck and we need help and parts. His truck is a 1987 W150 slant 6, 4 speed (NP435?), NP208 (I think) and what I believe is a D44 front and a 9.25 rear. We have a parts wanted list and I'm certain there is more than I have listed thus far. We had a problem of getting the T-case to shift initially and think we have that solved after a linkage adjustment. I'm certain the D44 isn't engaging so the CAD delete and lock-outs are next. We also have a wheel needing identified over in the wheel forum.

Welcome aboard from NJ. Very nice truck. My Brother (had) a truck like that which I think was an 86 4wd with a 360, not sure. I (had) an 82 Ramcharger 318 4spd 4wd which I gave to him after owning it for 23 years. I am sure the drivetrain was similar. I recall my front axle not wanting to go into lock once but I knew someone who worked at a 4wd shop who rebuilt the front for me. The only other time I had an issue was lack of lubrication at the transfer case linkage. Those wheels look very familiar but I don't recall who made them. Best of luck to you and your son. If I had a vehicle at his age I would have soiled my self with joy and slept in the bed, lol! I am sure someone else will chime in. 👍

He’s currently attempting to remove the camo paint with a pressure washer and a scothbrite pad

Smart move on his part. It's amazing how good camouflage paint hides a vehicle on a public road from other drivers. As far as those wheels, I've only seen them for sale as full sets so far.
