Need help with 5.3 lm7

So i just put together a 5.3 and put in truck got everything hooked up and when cranking ,sounds like timing is 180 out, pull valve cover and confirmed #1 piston at TDC and #1 intake and exhaust valves closed so that should be compression stroke. What am I missing

do you mean a 5.3 it could be the pick-up plate inside the didtributor

I am assuming it ran when you pulled it out. What all did you do to the engine?

I dont get notifications from here when someone replies for some reason. It was new rebuild on a 5.3. Anyways I figured it out shortly after I posted this i couldn't get any torque on rocker arms without it opening the valves , so I had bunch open valves when they should been shut. I got lifters bled down and torque and motor been great ever since I been slowly rebuilding truck ever since. Ill try load couple pics
