Been a member of FABO for a good while. So thought i would post my truck here. Okay here's our 1991 Dodge D-250, 3/4 ton. Not as good looking as most of the trucks I see on here. It doesn't get driven much nowadays, so mileage has been kept really low. I drive the Dodge once or twice a month. It has the 360 and automatic. Basically we make a few runs or errands here and there. Interior still looks brand new inside.. Still has the original jump seats in the back. Only real thing i have done to it, was redo the whole cooling system, new radiator, water pump, thermostat and replaced the hoses. No more running hot. Gave her a real good tune up. Rebuilt the windshield wiper arms, all the plastic bushing wore out.

Only thing i am wonder is and maybe someone can answer it or lead me in the right direction. The speedometer still works, but the mileage doesn't work any more. It broke at 149,000 miles. Is there a gear replacement for the speedometer to fix it?

Also have a cool little nice project keeping me busy too. I know it doesn't belong here in the trucks. Just thought some of you might like to see this.

My 1964 Barracuda find. It was completely unmolested when i found it. Still got a long way to go on it. But the Barracuda is finally starting to transform back into its old self again.

Great Looking Barracuda, I for one appreciate anything MOPAR owning a '70 Challenger apart from my '79 LRE.
I would think getting another secondhand speedo would be the cheapest option unless you want to keep the mileage consistent, maybe transfer the gear over.

Here's some photos of my project that's been going on for 17 months. The first photo of of the '77 D150 20-25 years ago, taken after an ice storm. Rust was starting to work on it then and it was much worse when I started rebuilding it. The 2nd photo was taken last fall with the 4-wheel drivetrain fully functional and the 3rd is of the engine before I got the front fenders and such on. It orginally had a 318 2bbl and the present engine is an '85-'86 360, bored .040" with 4bbl Qudrajet. Got a different bed and that's the next job, getting the back half done.truck1.jpgtruck2.jpgtruck3.jpg

I Know I've said it before but IIIIIIIII "like" It ! ( them ) lol Your getting me itchy to go racing again . I haven't raced in years . The last cars that I used to run was the 69 Charger ( 9.70's sideways ) that I had and my wife used to run the Dart we have back when we had the other motor In it ( low 11's in street trim ) . But those were years ago . Were working on a 440 Warlock right now and that's definitely going to be seeing some track time when we bring it out . "Thanks" for the pictures !

Funny that you mentioned the '69 Charger. We've also got a few other projects going on including a '68 Charger R/T. It's my son's car and we're building a supercharged 512 stroker for it.

He's also got a '70 Roadrunner 383 4-speed and a 2010 SRT Challenger that we finished last year.

Way on the back burner is a Duster funnycar. Hopefully I'll get to it within a couple of years.

The plan is to have it on the road this summer but the last four weeks I have not done anything due to the weather. Should be able to get back in the garage soon.

I hear yah on the weather . Between the cold and about 104" of snow in the past four to six weeks I haven't got anything done in my garage either . I've either ben out plowing or trying to get some rest before the next storm come's in . I'm hoping to get back to work my 79 sometime soon as well .

Ain't this the truth, MOPAR people like solid hard working vehicles with the extra reliability built in.
Bear you seemed to always be pushing something around and the weather has been unkind to others giving you something to do I suppose.

Yah , I suppose you could say having 15 to 30 hour work day's with only a day or two to between storms to get some rest and do repairs is giving me something to do . Personally I'd rather be enjoying some warm weather and out in my Warlock myself .
