I have previously been a hatchback owner and SUV owner but no I don't commute very much or drive a lot in general so I'm looking to get a truck since I am often borrowing one or wanting to use one for projects around the house. I wanted to come here to get some guidance on what truck I should purchase.

Welcome aboard from NJ. I would say to buy what looks good to you as you will have to live with it. So, if it trips your trigger, and you can afford it, I say pull the trigger and buy it. If it doesn't bring you joy just looking at it, it's the wrong truck for you. I personally probably will never be able to afford a new anything. Plus, I don't like having to pay for all the new government mandated do-dads, like hemorrhoid monitors, that potentially will cost $$ to fix. I like the older trucks as I know when my ass is sore and don't need a sensor to tell me, LOL. Good Luck! :D
