This is my truck
She’s an 80 model single cab short box with a 76 front end

383 magnum from a 69 roadrunner
And a 727 transmission
3.55 geared 8.75 rear end

I’m looking for information on installing an underdash ac system and curing the most hellacious wheel hop known to man

Nice looking truck. Have you tried adding weight to the bounce side? What does it have for rear suspension?

I’ve not done aything
The truck has stock aged springs

I’m going to add the clamps to the front half of the spring and add some slapped bars also
See if I can help it out some

If they don’t work I’ll try Caltrac bars or the comp engineering versions

I welded a brace from Moser on the back of my 8 3/4 I was running in my 68 Roadrunner, solved my axle tramp on the spot. Took it to the track a few times, broke the caps before I ever wheel hopped again. But slicks will do that to an 8 3/4 in a 4 speed.
Its now running a D60.

New springs will also do wonders, even if theyre the stock configuration. If youre going to change them out anyway, maybe add an extra spring. Definitely not the most expensive option.

I had a friend that used Caltrac's on his before upping the power level to ridicules. He then went with a four-link setup. Even with Caltac's it had insane traction and no wheel hop.
