Hello,needing some help/info 225 L6,tranny

1st- just joined today,kinda been hiding in the back reading different post,OK lets start--is there a place or factory kick down cable for 225 W/904,i was told i could run wihout one 'cause it would ruin my tranny, i'm running an Offy 4barrel intake..any help please & thank you-chuck

I probably am wrong but I thought it used linkage not cable Google it And welcome to F T O

yeah,most were linkage,but with my carb selection i'm gonna have to figure out a cable set up,i was told that some aftermarket comp. made a cable replacements----chuck

I think it's Lokar that make's the after market cable's that your looking for .

Lokar should have something for you. I know they do for the transmission, the only question is getting the correct bracket for the carb/intake combination. I run one on my Charger (440 with 727, M1 intake that's taller than stock intakes) and have been happy with it. And no, you definitely don't want to run without a kickdown unless you have a valve body designed for it.
