Fuel sending unit

Does any one know where to buy the fuel sending units for a 1979 w150?
I'd even be interested in a universal unit if thats my only option.

You might remove the old one and take a look at it. I pulled the tank from my parts truck and the brass float was eaten full of holes. The whole works was rusty, so I used a fine wire wheel to clean stuff up, took the potentiometer apart and cleaned the inside with carb cleaner and put it back together. I had to rotate the ground connection several times to get it to make connection and then everything worked fine. I had an old float I brazed on and now I have a spare.

I had it out and cleaned it up and put a new float on it, checked it with a ohm meter and it had some dead spots in it, but wont work at all now. Also ran a ground from the battery and no luck.
