flipping outer tie rod

Have lowered my 90 D150 by flipping rear hanger and longer shackles, plus using van LCA's. It came out how I expected it to look, just have the outer tie rod end not level with the LCA. Wondering how people with these trucks are getting the rod ends level, by reaming and insert stock tie rods from the bottom or just drilling straight through and using rod ends. if so what hole size and rod end to use? Thanks
