Looking for a spare 15” wheel for my truck. There is an 84 5th ave at the local wrecker. I figure they are 15x7 but will the bolt pattern and offset work on my 79 d100?

I think they are both 5x4.5" bolt pattern, but may be wrong, the 5th Ave definitely is. I don't know about the offset.

If it were an 82 they would fit and work fine. Not sure why a 79 would be any different.

After looking at obscene over-pricing on my usual Net shopping venues, I've decided to try junkyarding for some plain steel 15", 4.5"x5 lug wheels for my 1983 D150 Miser. I MIGHT just use the wheels from my sadly wrecked 1966 Chrysler Newport, which are some sort of old magnum rims, but really prefer OEM steel if it can be had for OEM steel prices..... First good monsoon day, I'm putting my boots on and slogging into the yards.... Will let folks know if its still worthwhile to do so.
