lol, I like you Russ, I hope it all works out for you. Call anytime.
I'm gonna delete this thread from my archives in a day or two, to make room for others. But it will stay with you, until you delete it.
AJ, are you talking about freeing up server space or space from your own computer? It would be nice not to delete it from here if that's what you're talking about. I've built a 'few' engines too starting with my first one back in the mid 70's. Did I know what I was doing? Not really and didn't have any measuring tools either but started in the machinist trade when I started an apprenticeship in 1980. It wasn't in the automotive world though but it didn't take long to apply it to engine building. You inserted a lot of great info and it could be beneficial to others here.

Btw, I'm 74 and my wife of 30+ years decided she would be better off without me and left in 2017. Was able to keep the house and the 1500 sq ft shop out back and all the toys and she took the money. Can't eat a house and toys so been selling off stuff little by little including an unfinished car. Oh well. Getting pretty hard to get up off of a creeper these days anyways.

I'll go to a Ford 9" when that one goes. I'll mini tub it and rework the rear suspension then as well.
Automatic transmission? And how fast do you plan on going? The 9" has a lot of aftermarket parts for it which makes it pretty good but also at a pretty good cost. It also robs a bit more power over the others.....

Yes, auto A-518 46 RH. Having it built now by a shop in Gainesville, FL. Hoping to get into the low 12's high 11's. Mostly going to be a street truck, just cruising around, burning rubber, showing the gay squat crowd how it's supposed to be done. 🤣

More progress. Going to pressure wash, detail, and paint the frame. Going to leave the body off to test fit engine, transmission, and especially the headers.
