My 2011 Yukon cruise control works only sometimes? Any ideas?

Need to see if there are any codes first. Are the brake light working? Possibly a brake switch

Stop at an auto parts store and see if they will scan it for codes.

I just did a 08 GMC 2500 yesterday, it had a code in the PCM for the brake light switch. I believe it was P0571. I found a bad switch
