As an aging moparite, I must express my appreciation for Chrysler making such fine, reliable vehicles. I had my 82 Ramcharger for over 24 years and I don't know anyone who had less trouble than I did. Especially considering it was never garaged and sometimes wasn't started for 6 months. It always started! The battery in it lasted over 16 years and was not brand new when I bought the truck! The truck was a Royal Prospector with a 318 2 barrel and a 4 speed tranny. The only thing I wish it had was a posi rear. It was loaded otherwise with A/C, cruise control, captains chairs, etc....My previous truck was a 1976 Plymouth Trailduster, which had a posi and could not be stopped. I drove through snow that was half way up my doors with that thing. I put plows on both trucks and 33 x 12.50 tires! They were very agressive looking and stronger than hell.
