Hello everyone! Have a 1978 d100 short bed ive been working on. Picked this truck up in November of last year, had a slant 6 727 8 1/4 rear. At the time i had two other projects i was working on as well, 1973 d200 adventurer and a 1985 2wd ramcharger. Pretty much took all the parts off both trucks too put on the 78, due too time and money got rid of the ramcharger and 73 so I can focus on one. Took the 1979 360 I was building for the 73 and 727. And the 9 1/4 rear and front hubs as well as the gas tank from the ramcharger. So now im on a 5x5.5 bolt pattern not a good bolt pattern for wheel selection. Only did that because I had brand new american racing wheels for the ramcharger, plus the 8 1/4 rear was making a noise when moving. The truck is lowered flip kit in the rear front has van lower control arms and 3" lowering springs. Really like the stance of this truck but the front wheels back spacing isnt correct for sitting that low. I see that viking performance has coilovers for the front. They are advertised for lowering the front 1.5" up too 3". Ive already looked at buying same style wheels with a different back spacing, but could not find any with the right back spacing. Was even considering changing the front hubs back to 5x4.5 bolt pattern. But could not find the same style wheels in the backspacing im needing. Before I added the van lower control arms it had the 3" lowering springs already. It was squatted and I do not like that look. Was wanting some feedback on those viking coilovers dont mind raising the front up some, but do not want it too sit higher in the front. I do plan on changing the front springs back to the originals but im pretty sure its going to sit higher up front. I appreciate any feedback or suggestions.
