Have been exploring possibilities for conversation of Sanden SDB709 R12 system to R134A. Truck set idle for number of years and refrigerant has disappeared but some pressure still in system. The original R12 oil in the compressor will need to be changed. Sanden recommends use of SP-10 which is a PAG oil and will not absorb the R12 mineral oil left in system components. So here is the question has anyone had a problem using ester oil in the Sanden SDB709 R12 compressor?

What year is your truck? I pass Kingsville on 50 going to my work project at the lake We need to hook up sometime!

Dakota 1993 and Ram 1982 registered with parts from 82 - 89. When you pass 50 & Z you are real close. Purchased the Dakota about a month ago and have been trying to get it back to an electrical and mechanical sound state. Have found the Dakota form to be quite helpful.
