904 transmission question

I have an 87 Dodge d100 two wheel drive with a 360 and a 904 transmission that has recently been rebuilt. I was doing a little pull this morning and as I got back in my truck this afternoon it was shifting very sluggish as if there was no pressure on the kick down the cable does anybody have any Incite on something that could have let go internally. Fluid level up to where it should be checking in neutral and at operating temp? Who did the rebuild? Is it a shop and have a warranty?
