Thank you again. I got some name of hardcore mopar guys in my area so ill call around and see if i can find books/part numbers for 89. Ill post my findings for anyone that might be doing the same thing i am.

An interesting tidbit - I do have the 86/87 book and the 90-93 book, all the part numbers listed for manual steering on a D-1/2/3 (150-350) are the same in both manuals with one exception - they don't list a manual steering gear for 1990. They have the manual pitman arm, but no gear to bolt it to - go figure.

Well i guess if the pitman arms are the same number i assume the gear would be the same number. The only pics I've seen of the manual gear goes out the side towards the front tire (4wd maybe). Every little bit helps. Thanks again.
