Out put shaft design was changed internally. Plus the input shaft was redesign to drive the lockup of the converter. Valve body was also changed so the lockup would work. If your planning on building from parts it would be best to find a jobber parts book.
Parted out a very rusty 1975 Dodge pickup and the power train is something I’m not going to need. The engine is not stuck but I’d still consider it a core because I haven’t had it running so I don’t know how good it is inside. The trans is rebuilt but I have no idea when or how many miles are on it. I’ll assume that it’s OK because the truck got parked due to the extreme rust.
