4wd conversion

Is it worth converting a 78 2wd club cab to a 4wd? Seems like a lot.

IF that is what you want, then do it. I converted my 65 D200 to a W200.

If it is a 1/2 ton no the frame will not be heavy enough for anything but light road use.
