2017 Chevy 1500 Silverado LT

I am considering buying a Chevy Silverado 1500 LT with 54k miles. Are these hood trucks and how many miles can I get on it?

I like them, but there are a couple of issues. The 6 speed trans can have problems and the AFM/DOD can have problems at higher miles. I have done lots of 6 speed replacement transmissions. A couple of small things to help the trans, Sonnex has a trans cooler thermostat bypass kit. The factory trans cooler thermostat doesn't open until 195 degrees. I would also bypass the AFM, either with a plug in module or have someone that can tune, go in and shut it off. When it is operating the torque converter is always engaging and disengaging, the torque converter locks up in 2nd gear and the main failure point in this trans, it starts coming apart and sends metal through out the trans.
